The following awards are handed out at the year end Annual Ceremonial Review (ACR).
Best Green Star- A cadet in the green star training level who has performed exceptionally well in all aspects of training, drill, dress and deportment.
Best Red Star- A cadet in the green star training level, who has performed exceptionally well in all aspects of training, drill, dress and deportment.
Best Silver Star- A cadet in the silver star training level, who has performed exceptionally well in all aspects of training, drill, dress and deportment.
Best Gold Star- A cadet in the gold star training level who, has performed exceptionally well in all aspects of training, drill, dress and deportment.
Top NSCE (National Star Certification Examination)-Awarded to the cadet with the highest score.
Most Improved Cadet-Selected by the Commanding Officer on the advice of corps officers and NCOs as the cadet to have shown the most personal improvement in drill, dress and deportment among eligible cadets in the current training year.
Most Improved Bandsman- The cadet who most dedicated to learning, has good attendance, motivation and determination.
Peer Award-Voted by their peers as a cadet who is loyal, trustworthy, well respected and exemplifies what it means to be an army cadet and a good citizen.
Top Cadet (male/female) – This cadet exemplifies all the aspects a great leader, uniform and deportment are superior and attendance is at the highest level.
Commanding Officer’s Award-Selected by the Commanding Officer, this cadet has shown a great interest in the cadet program has good attendance and has shown the most personal growth during the training year.
Top Marksman-A cadet member of the marksmanship team that demonstrate a keen interest in the shooting program and who excels in the elements of marksmanship.
Most Proficient Senior Non Commissioned Officer-Is awarded to a senior cadet (Sgt or above) who shows outstanding leadership, motivation and loyalty to the cadet corps.
Legion Medal of Excellence-Is awarded to one deserving cadet in the cadet corps who has participated in a minimum of three community service events, is regarded by peers and superiors as exemplifying the model cadet and enhances the cadet unit through:
- cooperation with peers and subordinates
- comradeship;
- promoting goodwill and morale within the corps/squadron;
- aiding in the development of group identity and cohesiveness;
- supporting and assisting fellow unit members; and
- enhancing the impact of the cadet organization in the local community.
