Review of bank accounts: Heather Undershute,   Parents account $xxxxxx.  Casino account $xxxxxxxx.  However bill for bag pipes have come in.

 

Captain Marks Updates: Recap on ICE exchange, Thanks to all helpers, Kids had a great time, Hotel Loved having the Cadets.  GOOD Feedback.

 

Sunday March 13, 2011, Range Day at Steve Johnson range. BRING OWN LUNCH.  NO CAR POOLING. Get your own Cadet to Range.

 

Upcoming : next two weeks we are unable to be in Ralph McCall

Next week is Musuem 5:45pm EAST SIDE OF CO OP for Car Pooling.

There will be a Glenn and Cap badge test and presentation.

March  19, 2011. Rifle comp for 5 of our Cadets.

 

Band is ongoing on Tuesday nights at the AG building. There is 14 Cadets.

April 16th, Band Cadets have Band Concentration day at Tecumseh

No Cadets on March 23, 2011.

 

March 25 to 27th, Rocky Mountain Cadet Camp.  Meet at Ag Building at 5:00pm. KIT CHECK AT AG BUILDING.  Bus leaves at 6:00pm. Please eat before they come.

Return between 2:30 and 3:30 on Sunday.  Navigation is needed for star level.  Repelling.

12th and 20th of March – Seniors Cadets to help out at Legion 5:30 to 10:00pm

 

April 2, at Ralph McCall, 9:00am – 4:00 to complete training.

 

 

 

April 6 – CRUX Climbing Centre. Carpooling

 

 

 

April 8-10 Alford Lake, Survival /Archery, training weekend.

 

June 5, 2011 Annual Review will be in Airdrie at the Recreation  Centre.

Legion BBQ after the Annual.

Stations to show what they have learned over the year.  Band, Expeditions, Rifle team.  May need Parent volunteers to help with this.

 

WE WERE THE FIRST CADET CORPS TO HAVE OUR SUMMER CAMP APPLICATIONS IN TO DND.

 

*NEW CAR POOLING LOCATION.*  CARPOOLING at east side of Co-op parking lot.

Parents want Driver Log for Cadets in their own car.

 

Cadet Expedition, was great for 2 of our Cadets.  WO Marchessault and Sgt Yates.

Next in May in Manitoba 3 Cadets applied to go.

 

Heritage Classic, 24 or 26 Cadets with Parent volunteers.  Organizers loved the Cadets.

 

10 to 12 June Exercise Camp Wurthington.

 

LAST CADET NIGHT 15 June, 2011.

 

League Rep Update: Ed Luikatas,

Heritage Classic, update, Parent Volunteers and Cadets from 3016 Looked sharp and did Outstanding job.

Planning was last minute, however all were impressed with the turnout and the effort.

 

AGM Luncheon – Lt Rycroft received his award.  Some parents attended.

 

Drill Comp at Mewata  Armories (we did not enter)

 

Band practice seemed to be going well.  May have another band volunteer

 

April 9th at Mewata Armouries, Celebration of Vimy.  ACR Style Parade.

 

Last year we received 5000.00 combined from the league.

$468.23 Was Presented to the Corps.

 

OPEN FORUM:

Lorna explained about the Volunteer Identification Card,  Invite all parents to fill out the forms and get their cards.

 

Heather added a Legion membership form and a Army Cadet League of Canada Application form with last months minutes, for all parents to review, and perhaps join.

Thanks again for Cadets and parents for assisting the legion and the Poppy fund, and all other activites.  Requests coming in for our services.

Brent – would like the corps logo, and letter for donations. For banners.  Tickets for FALCONS trip, should generate $8000.00 for corps.  BEST ride, slated for May 14, 2011.  Water Valley.

 

Bev – Christmas Party – Pot luck has a balanced virety of items.  Parents committee, will provide beverages, Bev will pick up. Plus all things needed.

Lorna, Heather, 2Lt Rycroft, attended the Cadet League Meeting.  Applied for funding assistance from the Cadet League.  Donation approved for musical instrument repair and purchase.  $3120.00 Approximately. Parent Committee pitch in, and the League, will donate more in January.

Pipes will belong to 3016 Airdrie Cadet Corps Parents Committee.

 

League Report, Ed – 11 out of 15 Cadet Corps reported at their meeting.  Airdrie is the 3rd highest in amount of Cadets.

Tips of registration for

Drill comp. Tri Service for southern zone….region is in charge.

Drivers Logs, for Volunteer Drivers, Lorna remarks, we want parent drivers security screened.

Sports night and sports day on Sunday, Uniforms should be ready for today.

Sunday is Mandatory sports day. Canada Fitness test.  (badges awarded) 2:00 – 7:00pm  Genesis Rec Centre. In the gym.  Supper provided, swimming afterwards.

Please wear appropriate swimwear.

 

Christmas Party Dec 12, 2010,

POT LUCK at the Airdrie Legion.  Invitations will be sent out to families. 5 – 8pm

Silent Auction Items needed.  Letters are printed, if you would like to ask your companies.  Watch for email.  $10.00 gift exchange.  For Cadets.  Siblings $5.00 gift exchange.

 

Ice exchange – Regina, Sask.  Thursday to Monday, west Edmonton mall, sign up sheet.  Meet and greet, remada hotel, Base Edmonton,  Zoo, Miltary and Air Museum, and Cross Iron Malls, Banff, Legion Spaghetti dinner.  40 Cadets 3 staff.  Feb 10 to 14. 2010.  40 of OUR Cadets can participate daily.

56 enrolled, 33 new cadets .  7 quit.  Attendance has been about 90% on parade night.
