Falcons MC BEST rideBEST ride May 15th

The Falcons MC has requested help with their B.E.S.T. (Bikers Everywhere Supporting our Troops) poker run.  They are looking for 10 cadets and 5 adults to help man stations on May 15th.  They would like 1 adult and 2 cadets to man each of their 5 stations approximately 10:30 to 16:00.  The Falcons will then be making a donation to the Airdrie Highlanders Army Cadets.  If you can help, please leave a comment below so that we know who we have lined up.
They have also asked if we would like to provide coffee in the mornings for approx 300 riders.  The parent’s commitee is still deciding (mainly dependant on having enough parent volunteers to cover this).  The cadets would get to keep all profits from selling coffee.

Motorcycle Transport Pallets

Mr. Marchessault has several motorcycle transport crates, excelent for shipping and transporting motorbikes.  He is selling them for $25 with the proceeds going to the Airdrie Highlanders Army Cadets.  ANyone interested should contact Brent Marchessault.  More information to follow.

A Special Thanks to Everyone Who Helped With Last Weekend’s Cleanup.

April 1, 2010 in Notices

The Airdrie Army Cadets have a large storage area in the basement of the Airdrie Agriculture Building where we store a lot of our equipment (pipes and drums, cadet uniforms, tents, camping equipment, cadet manuals etc).  Last weekend, we had a lot of cadets show up to help clean up and organize the space.  Thanks everyone for all the help!

Falcons MC Request Help With a Ride to Support Our Troops

March 10, 2010 in Events, volunteering

The Falcons Motorcycle Club is made up of currently serving or retired members of the Canadian Armed Forces.

They have requested 10 to 20 cadets to help with their B.E.S.T. (Bikers Everywhere Supporting our Troops) poker run on May 15, 2010 in support of our troops and several great charities.  In return, a portion of the procedes will be donated to the Airdrie Army Cadets.  The cadets will be supervised and will be helping at checkpoints along the ride.  They will not be helping anywhere that there is alcohol.

The Falcons MC conducts charitable events such as the Motorcycle Poker rides and other events to support military charities across Canada. The Falcons MC Support T- Shirts and support gear are sold to allow them to continue to run events to raise these funds for registered Military charities and Military support agencies.  They  raise funds for charities that support Military Troops who are currently serving and their families. The Falcons MC also supports Veteran organizations or Charities that help Children.

Airdrie Cadets Recognized for Providing the Most Hours to the Airdrie Festival of Lights.

February 6, 2010 in Honours

Airdrie Army Cadets Volunteered at AFOL Once again, the 3016 Airdrie Army Cadets provided more volunteer hours at the Airdrie Festival of Lights than any other group.  We were apparently recognized at their volunteer appreciation function and were also given a cash bonus in recognition of this accomplishment.  Way to go cadets and parents.  Not only does this help the community, but the money raised is used to help fund various parts of the Airdrie Army Cadets’ programs.

For those families who had been planning on attending the AFOL volunteer recognition night, we appologize.  For some reason that is not quite clear, the Airdrie Army Cadets were not told when the event would be held.
